Lord of Lightning Album 2026 - Nominated for Best Songwriting of the Year for Grammy Award

The Lord of Lightning, is officially released by Mentzinger Media Company! It has great tunes for everyone including Funk, Punk, Hip Hop, Dance, Country and Metal. At the time of release, we already have had 100.000 streams and 36,000 new listeners and it has been nominated for a Grammy for best songwriter.

This project has been decades in the making. It includes 35 original tracks, many written back in the 1980s and 1990s, along with several new compositions. George Mentz wrote, composed, played, sang, engineered and produced a mix of styles and genres that reflect a creative journey from DJ work, to New Orleans Jazz, to Songwriter.  Mentz is thrilled to finally make these original tracks available for everyone to hear.  If this music wasn’t so good, he wouldn’t dare promote it.

Check it out especially if you grew up enjoying artists like: Green Day, Nirvana, Lenny Kravitz, Johnny Cash, Parliament Funkadelic, Dr. Dre, The Stones, Afrika Bambaataa, Clapton, Red Hot Chili Peppers, BB King, U2, George Clinton, and Zeppelin. Because of advanced tech, many of these original recordings have a live club or stadium feel combined with an amazing studio quality.
